「會長與您有約」5分之3堂的功課 為修行加油 (“President’s Date with You”: 3 out of the 5 Sessions of Practices to Boost Cultivation )

04/13/2024—會長潘青霞的「會長與您有約」行程以西來寺早上6:30的早課開始，會員萬聖音第一次參加，與大眾誦唸《妙法蓮華經》中的〈觀世音菩薩普門品〉及《大悲咒》，早課後，兩人在「五觀堂」(齋堂)用早齋，早齋是漢傳佛教裡「五堂功課」中，繼早課後的第二堂，兩人做五種觀想，願修行更精進，不愧受此食，接著繞行西來寺的環山菩提道，並研究在隔日將啟建的佛光山北美洲萬緣水陸法會各壇口位置圖。潘會長送萬聖音回家後，再返回西來寺讀書館讀書，以第三堂功課「午齋」圓滿行程。
萬聖音表示，西來寺是個「加油站」，她感到萬分清明舒暢， 很期待下次約會。
“President’s Date with You”: 3 out of the 5 Sessions of Practices to Boost Cultivation

April 13, 2024—President Pan’s “President’s Date with You” itinerary kicked off with the morning chanting at Hsi Lai Temple at 6:30 AM. Member Nana Wan attended for the first time, joining in the recitation of “The Lotus Sutra’s Universal Gate Chapter on Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva” and the “Great Compassion Mantra” with the congregation. After the morning chanting, the two enjoyed breakfast at the “Five Contemplations Hall (the Dining Hall).” Breakfast follows the morning chanting session, marking the second practice session of the “Five Sessions of Practices” in Chinese Buddhism. Together, they engaged in Five Contemplations, aiming to deepen their practice and merit the meal they received. Later, they strolled along the Bodhi path of Hsi Lai Temple and studied the map detailing the locations of the various altars for the Fo Guang Shan North America Water and Land Dharma Service scheduled to begin the next day. After President Pan escorted Nana Wan home, she returned to the Hsi Lai Temple library to continue her studies and complete the third session of the practices, “Lunch.”
Nana Wan expressed that Hsi Lai Temple truly feels like a “refueling station,” where she feels greatly enlightened and at ease. She eagerly looks forward to their next “Date.”
